Through its projects, Hemla has developed FLNG solutions to monetize proven but stranded gas resources taking advantage of the cost competitiveness of floating LNG compared with land-based facilities, shorter time to operation start and increased flexibility regarding location.
Hemla has been developing FLNG concepts since 2010. Through our different projects, with a cumulative investment of USD +40 million, Hemla has accumulated a world class experience within the FLNG domain.
Furthermore, Hemla has been participating in concept studies, Pre-FEED and FEED studies for FLNG designs of 1 to 3.4 MTPA, both for shallow and deep-water.
Hemla has also worked on an in-port hybrid LNG solution developed together with Statoil, consisting of a floating LNG vessel with on-land storage able to liquefy 4 + 4 MTPA pipeline gas for LNG export.
In addition, Hemla has access to generic topside solutions for 2 MTPA of LNG including gas pre-treatment, BOG compression, fuel gas treatment and other utility systems.
