HEMLA HAS BEEN AWARDED PARTICIPATING INTEREST IN PNGF SUD LICENSE IN CONGO BRAZZAVILLE
Hemla is proud to announce that it has been awarded a participating interest in the PNGF Sud license in Congo Brazzaville, as a result of the competitive bid organized by the Ministry of Hydrocarbons, September through November 2016.
Hemla has set up a consortium with Petromal of Abu Dhabi, UAE and a local Congolese partner to participate in the bid round where it has been awarded a 20% participating interest in PNGF Sud. Other partners in the asset are Société Nationale des Pétroles du Congo – SNPC (15%), Continent Congo S.A. (10%), Africa Oil & Gas Corporation (10%), Petro Congo (5%) and Perenco (40%), which will also act as operator.
The license, which is located in shallow water 25 km off the coast of Pointe Noire (Congo), encompasses Tchendo, Tchibouella, Tchibouela Est, Tchibeli and Litanzi fields, as well as certain installations, jointly designated as PNGF Sud.
Hemla is excited to work closely with its local partners and Petromal to develop the PNGF Sud license and implement its social commitments to the Government and people of Congo Brazzaville.
