HEMLA SIGNS AGREEMENT FOR THE NTATA FLOATING LNG  DEVELOPMENT

Hemla is proud to  add another gas to LNG project to its portfolio of LNG developments, having signed an agreement with the successful indigenous Nigerian company, Moni Pulo Limited, for the development of the Ntata gas discovery within OML-114 in Nigeria.

The Ntata discovery holds sufficient proven volumes for a 1.0 MTPA FLNG (floating LNG) development for 10+ years. Back-up gas discoveries are available both within OML-114, as well as in the nearby licenses. Hemla    is managing the overall project with Moni Pulo as the indigenous Operator.

The license is  located offshore, in the Eastern  lobe of the tertiary Niger-Delta play in the South-South region of Nigeria.  Hemla and Moni Pulo Limited will develop the gas and the associated condensate through a floating LNG solution  with necessary infrastructure.  Hemla already holds generic designs for the region, as well as    an experienced in-house engineering team and   IP rights for Nitrogen liquefaction technology specially designed for offshore operations with respect to safety and production efficiency.

With its head office in Port Harcourt, Rivers State and branch offices in Lagos and London, Moni Pulo Limited (www.monipulo.com) is a private indigenous oil and gas exploration and production company. A trailblazer in the area of local content, Moni Pulo has developed its operational efficiency to international standards as sole operator of its OML-114 asset. This expertise is  transferred to the development and operation of its other assets, OPLs 231, 234 and 239.
